It's been quite a while since I've posted anything -- we haven't really been doing anything too exciting! I've been traveling a lot for work and been doing more and more training. Luckily, I'm getting better at it and my confidence is growing. There were a few rocky starts and some crappy trainings, but this past week in Yankton was a LOT better.
Eric's been just pushing along through school. He has a good friend in class and I think they're just helping each other get through it. They have been doing more sit-ins and ride-alongs in dispatch centers in the area. They've been to Pennington County (Rapid City) and they just went up to Sturgis this weekend. Next weekend they're going to Spearfish.
At Sturgis this weekend they met the Sturgis drug dog, Suka. Apparently she was allowed to roam (more like sprint) the halls of the dispatch/police station. She was totally hyperactive and the officer handler told Eric and his classmate that "Suka locks up on drugs...and meatloaf." A few days ago another officer brought his meatloaf lunch into work and Suka got into it and ate it all! Then she was sick the next day! Funny little things that most people don't get a chance to see!
Yesterday we all went over to Tony & Kayla's house for Kayla's 24th birthday. We had sloppy joes and cake. She's due on 23 March (will be induced) so needless to say she's pretty uncomfortable now. So we brought the party to her. Olivia was fun as usual. She's saying more words now and really interacting. She was fascinated with my camera and the LCD on the back that played back pictures.

Well you have had fun. We're glad that you are settling in to your job more. That is nice. And sorry that Eric has a not so great instructor, but at least he has a friend to help him get through. The party sounds fun! Kami
Hey Kathy, I love the picture with your mom and Olivia. Wow, does that baby look like Tony! Do you have a baby picture of him that you could put side by side to Olivia??? Glad Yankton went well. Catch ya later.
